ADHD Report Review

This page is for patients who have been diagnosed with ADHD by a psychologist or overseas. All psychologist or overseas diagnostic reports of ADHD must be reviewed by a Mind Horizons psychiatrist before you book an initial assessment to confirm that a standard assessment is appropriate (in rare cases, a full ADHD assessment may be required to ensure that it is medico-legally appropriate for your psychiatrist to consider medications).

If your report was obtained overseas, please ensure it has been translated to English. If this is not possible, you will need to book a full ADHD initial appointment.

Once your psychiatrist has reviewed your report, you will receive an email confirming that it is OK to book into a standard initial assessment slot once we have received your GP referral (or advising on your options in the rare cases this is not appropriate).

If your diagnosis has been made (or endorsed after a consultation with them) by a New Zealand psychiatrist or paediatrician, you do not need to pay for this service - simply send through a copy of the relevant specialist letter to info@mindhorizons.nz and then book a standard initial assessment with the link you will have been sent via email after we received your GP referral.

We strongly suggest you request a report review from the psychiatrist you would like to have your appointment with.
